League Forces Feltner; B-Sharks to Nullify Contract

A day after free agency began, there was already controversy.  Virginia Beach Bullsharks GM Jesse Feltner, stating he was unaware of the new League rule capping player signings in a 24-hour period, signed three players yesterday.  One more than allowed by the new league mandate.  Feltner took free agency’s opening day to grab forward Jack Skille, blue-liner Ben Lovejoy and netminder Joey MacDonald.  Feltner, put in a tough spot to re-release one of the players, nullified the contract of Lovejoy, making him available for another team to sign him.  However, per the mandate, if Lovejoy is still available after the 24-hour period of his release, the Bullsharks have the right to re-sign him and one other player, if they so choose.
