League Temporarily Assumes Control of Flagstaff Franchise

Commissioner wheateater announced today that, on a temporary basis, that Major League Hockey has seized control of the Flagstaff 66ers and its operations.  The announcement came from the League office shortly after it was informed by Flagstaff’s front office that the club was facing some moderate, yet fixable, financial problems.  The 66ers management proposed the temporary turnover in lieu of completely folding the franchise or suspending operations until the franchise could be taken over or moved.  The MLH office, wanting to keep the League intact, agreed to take over the club and its day-to-day operations, with reiteration on the fact that it was on a temporary basis.
