Colorado Cutthroats Overhaul Roster in Flurry of Transactions

Colorado GM Brandon Axelson had the plane tickets flying today in a mass of transactions.  Axelson opened up four roster spots early by NHLing forwards, Kyle Wilson and Jared Ross, and that was after the club annouced it was vacating the contracts of defenseman, Andrew McDonald and netminder, Nathan Lawson, giving them their unconditional release.

Those empty slots, though, didn’t stay empty long.  Axelson signed a pair of blueliners, Derek Smith and John Negrin and a couple of forwards, Tom Pyatt and Spencer Machacek.
