Tri-Cities Pushes Past Long Beach in Close Game, 22-16

Tri-Cities Mountaineers goalie, Leland Irving, put on a dazzling performance between the pipes, combined with Sean Sullivan’s 6 point explosion, the Mountaineers defeated the Long Beach Longshoremen, 22-16.  The story of the game was the return of defender Andy MacDonald returning back to Long Beach a week after being put on waivers by the Longshoremen.  MacDonald was snatched up by the Mountaineers the next day.  MacDonald, however, was held pointless in the contest, but it didn’t matter, his new teammates had a fair share of offense.  Mark Cullen and Tyler Eckford had 4 points each for Long Beach in the loss.
