Virginia Beach announces XHL partnership; tons of other news

The Virginia Beach Bullsharks are pleased to announce that, for the first time in their history, they will have an affiliate for their 5th anniversary season. The Tampa Bay Tritons of the XHL reached a partnership agreement with the Bullsharks earlier today. As part of the agreement, the Bullsharks must sport the Tritons club colors for the 2010-11 season. Owner and General Manager, Jesse Feltner, announced that the club would possibly be rolling out a new identity package to correspond with the partnership and color change, and that, at the very least, a new third jersey would be introduced for next season. He also announced that the club would be introducing a new “hockey heritage” jersey for next season, which would be based on pre-WWII hockey uniform designs. The uniform will be worn only one game to celebrate the birthday of the sport of hockey, which celebrates its 150th anniversary next season. It is an idea Feltner said he would probably pitch as a League-wide annual event at the next owners meeting. Finally, on a day filled with Bullsharks news, it was announced the club would also be sporting a commemorative logo to represent their 5th anniversary in MLH, worn on both home and away uniforms the whole season.
